What is DNS propagation?

DNS propagation refers to the time it takes for changes made to DNS (Domain Name System) records to be updated across all DNS servers on the internet. This process is necessary because DNS servers store information about domain names to speed up website loading times.

Updating DNS records, such as nameservers, MX records, or TXT records begins DNS propagation, which lasts anywhere from a few hours up to 24 hours.

Note: DNS propagation is a fully automated process. Our customer success team will not be able to make it faster.
